Biography
Arsen Kharatyan is the founder and editor-in-chief of Armenian-Georgian media-platform Aliq Media. He served as an advisor on foreign policy issues to Armenia’s Prime Minister during the first 100 days after the Velvet Revolution of 2018. Prior to that Kharatyan worked at Voice of America in Washington DC (2009-2014). 2003 to 2008 worked at the German Technical Cooperation (currently GIZ), coordinating public participation in Armenia’s Poverty Reduction Strategy (PRS). Arsen Kharatyan is one of the 7 founders of Civil Contract ruling party in Armenia. From late 90-ies up until the non-violent Velvet Revolution of 2018 in Armenia, Kharatyan co-founded and led several pro-democracy movements.
