Biography
Daniyar Kussainov is a political scientist and researcher from Karaganda (Kazakhstan), who is dedicated to bringing positive change to educational policy in Kazakhstan. He works as a co-op coordinator for the University of Central Asia, and co-leading “Connect-Ed.kz” platform. Also, Daniyar worked as a project manager at the Rosa Luxemburg Foundation and was responsible for projects on social justice. Previously he was a visiting research fellow at NUPI (Oslo, Norway) and the George Washington University (Washington, DC). Daniyar was a research fellow at the Soros Foundation Kazakhstan PPI Fellowship Program in 2014. Daniyar holds an MA degree in Politics and Security (Central Asia) from the OSCE Academy in Bishkek.
